Is shipping included in the cost?
Yes, within the Denver/Boulder metro area. For locations outside of this area, please contact us for details.
What type of foundation is included?
All MicroStructures prices already include a pier footing system. A level site is required for installation and this is the responsibility of the client. If a concrete slab is preferred, this is the responsibility of the client to arrange scheduling of associated concrete work. MicroStructures will provide, free of charge, any specification and/or drawings required for this work.
Can the structure have electricity?
Yes, electrical routes can be provided. All electrical work should be completed by a licensed electrician. If you foresee electricity as an option for your needs, please mention this during the free design consultation. Wall panels with electrical chases are available, but not included in the standard pricing.
Do I need to apply for building permit?
No, not in most cases. Most jurisdictions allow for the construction of one accessory structure up to 120 square foot without needing to apply for a permit. All structures are designed to fit within the 120 sq.ft guidelines so a building permit is highly unlikey. Please check with your local building permit for restrictive codes and regulations. In the case of needing a permit, MicroStructures will provide any required specification and details and drawings. Obtaining of the permit is the responsibility of the client.
